Disappointing Experience with ROK Presso Smartshot and Poor Customer Service

I purchased the ROK Presso Smartshot hoping for a reliable, eco-friendly manual espresso maker, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. While the machine's design is sleek and the concept of a manual espresso maker is appealing, the functionality fell short, and the customer service has been a complete letdown.
Several months ago, I noticed the bayonet broke, which caused the portafilter to unwind during use that leads to messy brewing process. I promptly contacted ROK's customer service to request a replacement bayonet. It seemed like a straightforward fix. However, Its been 4months, and I'm still waiting for the replacement part. Despite multiple follow-ups, I've received vague responses, delayed promises, and no clear timeline for when the part will arrive. This lack of communication and follow through is unacceptable, especially for a product price at $179.
On top of that, the Smartshot itself has issues that make it less user-friendly than advertised.
Overall, the ROK Presso Smartshot has been a letdown due to its performance issues and the company's failure to address my replacement request in a timely manner.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable espresso maker or a company that stands behind its products.
Save your money and look elsewhere unless you want to use it for decoration.

I checked our records and see that we offered you a free part 3 months ago but somehow the transaction was not completed. It’s possible that our email was sent into a junk folder. Anyway, we have just shipped you two replacement bayonet rings (as you requested) so you can get your machine up and running again. Please get back to us if you have further issues so we can find a solution for you.

Good product - waiting on customer service

I am enjoying my Presso Smartshot, but I sent an email about a defective bottomless portafilter and am waiting on a response. Once I get a response my review would be five stars.
