I have an original PRESSO which I picked “new” at a thrift store for $5. Everything was included and worked great; however, I came across a ROK video and learned about an available upgrade kit. Everything fitted like a glove. My PRESSO is as good as new ROK. Pressure has improved, levers are easier to operate and the machine looks so much better. Absolutely worth every penny. I now want to get a ROK grinder.
Hi Victor, Congrats on finding an original Presso. These are increasingly rare. Our ROK spare parts will also fit including the Smartshot basket which makes pulling shots much easier. Good luck !

The conversion kit itself works pretty well. I’ve been able to produce good shots with very fresh beans and proper tamping. Great taste and nice crema. Would give 5 stars but you guys need to ditch OnTrac. Literally the worst shipping company I’ve ever dealt with. Among other issues with OnTrac, they lied about needing a gate access code, were hard to deal with, and the driver threw the package 20 feet across my porch. Use a real shipping company like UPS or FedEx. I’m not likely to buy more products from you simply because of the shipping company being complete garbage.

I ordered the conversion kit because i didn't think i was getting enough pressure (even with super finely grinded beans!) in my pulls. I had read reviews that said the calcium deposits made taking the old cylinder out difficult but for me, it was very easy. I mention that because when i installed the new cylinder, i found i was getting only the same amount of pressure or maybe less. Is there a way i can trade in the main body of the rok GC for a new one? Any other suggestions to get more pressure? There's very little resistance when i pull shots.
Hi Luke, if you have little resistance, it’s most likely down to the ground coffee being too coarse. Changing the body will not affect this. Try completely filling the basket with fine grounds and tamp hard before pulling the shot. This will create more resistance and thus more extraction pressure. The other (better) option is to purchase a Smartshot basket and swap out your regular basket. Many ROK folk love the results from our Smartshot basket.
